Hi!
I'm Kim Williamson, an artist and art teacher from Hamilton, NZ, and founder of Kreative Art Academy.

After running Excite Music and Arts Academy with my mum for eight years, I've now decided to embark on an exciting new chapter.
My journey as an artist began early on as an insatiable curiosity and a profound love for all forms of creativity. With a solid academic foundation, my BMA in Painting has equipped me with the technical expertise and theoretical knowledge that enriches both my artistic practice and my role as an educator.

As an art teacher, I understand the importance of not only imparting technical skills but also instilling a deep appreciation for the joy that art can bring. From young children taking their first strokes to adults seeking to rediscover their creative spirit, my teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that everyone has an artist within waiting to be awakened.

My goal is for my classrooms to be welcoming spaces where imagination knows no bounds, and mistakes are celebrated as opportunities for growth. Through a carefully crafted curriculum,
I aim to ensure that my students receive a solid art education, covering foundational principles while encouraging experimentation and individual expression.
