Draw - Paint - Create!
Through exposure to and study of the Elements and Principles of Art, our Fundamentals classes give young artists the essential tools to create, explore, and produce beautiful artwork that they can be proud of. These students will use a variety of media to create many exciting, hands-on projects, developing their individuality, independence, and self-expression in the process. The projects and artworks draw inspiration from History, Art History, Geography, Global Cultures, Literature and more, giving our young artists important art context, so they can learn while creating!
2025 classes will draw inspiration from ‘Our World’ and all of the beauty that can be discovered through science and nature. We'll look above, below, inside and outside, and create beautiful mixed media artworks along the way.
Focus points for students aged 5-7 years:
Learning how to use art tools effectively
Practicing physical and observational skills
Working on understanding of shape, line, colour, pattern, and texture
Following directions using verbal and visual cues
*Lessons and fees are subject to the NZ school terms and may vary depending on term length and public holidays
