Draw - Paint - Create!
These Intensive classes are for dedicated art students aged 8-13 years who are looking to obtain and expand their creative tool boxes with access to advanced art knowledge and skills. Topics and techniques for these classes will be learnt through use of workbooks, practice and repetition, and will be vital for any student serious about improving their creative practice.
Students will learn two topics a term, each topic studied for 5 weeks. Our year will include:
TERM 1:
Sketching 101 - essential sketching and shading techniques and knowledge with graphite pencils.
Portrait Drawing 101 - studying the basics and breaking down facial proportions for portrait drawing.
TERM 2:
Colour Theory 101 - where colour comes from, and how to use it effectively with multiple forms of media.
Landscapes 101 - breaking down composition and using colour and line to create perspective.
TERM 3:
Animal Drawing 101 - studying the basic anatomy, steps and proportions for drawing animals.
Acrylic painting 101 - learning about the different tools and techniques that are used as the foundations of acrylic painting.
TERM 4:
Human Figure Drawing 101 - studying the basics and breaking down steps and proportions for drawing human figures.
Watercolour and Ink 101 - learning about the different tools and techniques that are used as the foundations of watercolour painting.
Lessons and fees are subject to the NZ school terms and may vary depending on term length and public holidays
Lesson fees include all materials for the term, including a workbook.
